Build Log - Page 5
Hundested calls it a distributor ring. At $3,500, I call it prohibitively expensive. So we purchased a new lathe instead.
We completed welding and cutting the dart on the first half and we're starting on side 2 with hopes of having it ready to start folding by spring.
So we have this beautiful Hundested prop system that is missing some parts. And that gave use the opportunity to do some metal casting which required a bigger better furnace.
David Allen, aka Super Dave built us a burner for our new shop foundry that he is also helping us construct.
Nothing better than molten metal on a cold January day.

So Hundersted wanted $3400 for new parts, so we purchased a new metal lathe, build a furnace, made a pattern and mold, cast it in brass and are now working it in the lathe.
Furnace is ready for action.
